Spring-Integration

I just started my first acquaintance with the Spring-Integration project .
So far I'm impress, after vast experience of using Mule it is nice to see a fresh wind coming from the SpringSource dudes.

Honestly, I just had enough stepping into the Mule code (from the debuger perspective) just to realize what on earth is going on (or "Who move my UMO" ;).
Add to this the strict distinction between the community and the enterprise versions, why exclude connectors and keep 2 code bases in the first place ? And no I will not pay to get a WebsphereMQ connector.

Nevertheless, don't get me wrong; Mule is great. You never bash first love, but hey it is time to look at other girls.

Here we go

Well, it is already the third year that I am saying; I will start writing a blog in the New Year.

So this first post is an attempt to just start. It is still January, so I think it can be considered as I actually managed to do so.

I like reading blogs, there are many smart people in the software industry and it just fun to read what they are thinking and even to see how they put it into writing.

And then I think I want one as well, I can write, let the world hear what I have to say (at least in the system engineering context).

The thing is, I am not the type of person that will leave a comment in a post (there were very few times that I did it), let alone write a blog.

It is strange because in the real world I am very outspoken person (check with people that knows me ;-), no comments ye right.

I can’t recall where I heard it, but it was something about that the online (or virtual in some cases) identity have quite opposite characteristics and behavior then in real life. So I guess it is true in my case.

I like music and I like software engineering. These will be most probably the main topics in this blog.

And what about the name?
“UFO at the zoo” is an album by The Flaming Lips, check it, it kicks ass.

What it had to do with my blog?
Nothing, I like the album and I like the name even more. It is damm, better then “The binary syndrome - some thoughts over software” and crap along these lines ;-)

So I hope you will enjoy it.

Take care

/Lior.
